Support for you

We’re there with the safety, stability and support you need for the future you want. Even if it feels out of reach right now.

Call us in a crisis

All our places are given by referral. But, if you need urgent advice, we have a 24hr line open. Call the Contact team on 0161 861 98061 and we can take it from there.

How to apply

Staying here at Contact starts with a referral. It’s how all our places are given and it all happens with Manchester City Council. Call Manchester City Council Housing Solutions on 0161 234 4692 to start the process.

The only conditions you’d need to meet are that you

  • Are aged 16-19 (or up to 21 to apply for a place in our move-on bungalow).
  • Hold British or Irish citizenship, have indefinite leave to remain (settled status), are a refugee, or an individual with humanitarian protection or right of abode.
  • Are applying while currently a Manchester resident

What to expect when calling Manchester City Council
You’ll speak to someone about your situation, they’ll take a few details and talk over what you need. From there, they’ll advise on different options and refer you to the best place for you. If a referral comes through to us, we’ll invite you over to Contact for a chat.

What happens then?
You’ll come to our place so we can get to know you a bit better, and understand how to best support you. It’s also a chance to take a look around, ask any questions and get a feel for us. We’re a small charity, and a cosy home, so we won’t always have a room right away – but the woman you meet with will tell you what’s what on the day.
